Finance OS
Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 10, 2026
This policy explains how APAR Ops handles information in connection with its private Finance OS workflow.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to APAR Ops Finance OS, a private finance-monitoring workflow used by authorized users to retrieve and organize accounting information from connected services, including QuickBooks Online.
The current Finance OS implementation is not offered as a public consumer finance application.
2. Information processed
When an authorized QuickBooks Online company is connected, Finance OS may process accounting and financial information made available through the permissions granted during OAuth authorization. This can include account names, balances, financial report totals, transaction details, dates, descriptions, vendors or customers, and related accounting metadata.
The website may also collect limited technical and usage information through Google Analytics, such as device, browser, page-view, and general interaction data.
3. How information is used
Financial information is used to prepare private management reporting, month-to-date monitoring, reconciliation controls, cash and budget visibility, and other finance-operations analysis requested by the authorized account owner.
Finance OS does not use connected QuickBooks data for advertising and does not sell connected financial data.
4. Systems and service providers
Finance OS currently uses QuickBooks Online as an accounting source, n8n for authorized workflow automation and transformation, and Google Sheets for private reporting and management views. Those services process information according to their own terms and privacy practices.
OAuth client secrets, access tokens, and refresh tokens are intended to be stored in the automation platform's credential storage rather than in the reporting spreadsheet.
5. Access and sharing
Access is limited to authorized users and service providers needed to operate the workflow. Connected financial information is not intentionally disclosed publicly.
Information may be disclosed when required by applicable law or to protect the security and integrity of the service.
6. Retention and deletion
Information may remain in connected source systems, workflow execution history, and private reporting files for as long as needed for the authorized finance workflow, recordkeeping, troubleshooting, or legal obligations.
An authorized user may disconnect QuickBooks access and may request deletion of Finance OS-managed copies of information by contacting APAR Ops at the email below, subject to information retained independently by third-party services or where retention is required by law.
7. Security
Reasonable administrative and technical measures are used to limit access to the private workflow. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
8. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the Finance OS workflow, service providers, or legal requirements change. The current version will be posted on this page with its effective date.
9. Contact
Questions, access requests, or deletion requests may be sent to mike@aparops.tech.
